Vireō Therapy and Wellness
"In all chaos there is a cosmos, in all disorder a secret order."

What To Expect At Your Visit
I implement effective psychotherapy methods to instill self-understanding among patients and encourage them to adopt new attitudes and feelings towards life situations. It is essential to keep in mind that therapy is not a magic pill or a quick fix: therapy is a healing process that necessitates participation and investment from the client and therapist alike. But in the end, making small changes to self-defeating behavior and coping with feelings of sadness, fear, and pain can bring life-altering results.
About Me
My name is Cathy Davis and I have been a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor since graduating with an MA in Clinical Counseling from the Citadel in 2011. My goal is to create an inviting, warm, and relaxed space that is free of judgement as we work together to meet your unique goals. My background is in working with those who have experienced trauma but I also enjoy working with adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, stressful life transitions, and those who are learning to adapt to grief and loss. I also have a special place in my heart for supporting individuals who have family members that struggle with addiction.
I believe we are all capable of profound change despite what may seem like insurmountable circumstances. I believe in being authentic, direct, empathetic, and empowering while always maintaining a sense of humor. I consider it a privilege to be your partner as you consider what changes may be possible for you.
My Services
Individual Therapy
A HAPPIER, HEALTHIER YOU
I offer individual therapy sessions in my Dublin office or via telehealth. I value the client relationship above all else and use an eclectic approach to therapy. Therapy is certainly not a one-size-fits-all endeavor. It requires a tailored approach to meet your individual needs. Together, we will create a roadmap to achieve your specific goals.
Sessions are typically 50-60 minutes and your first session or two will include diagnostic assessment and treatment planning. My areas of specialization include trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, stressful life transitions, co-dependency, and relationship problems.
I am trained in various modalities but gravitate towards the use of EMDR, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based techniques, and
Developmental Attachment Models.
Immigration Assessments
HERE FOR YOU
The path to becoming a US citizen can be a confusing journey that causes anxiety and strain on individuals and their families. I have specialized training to provide psychological assessments for those applying for US citizenship via Political Asylum, Domestic Violence (VAWA), and Victim of Crime (U VISA).
Similar to my approach to therapy, I use a trauma-informed, client-centered approach when completing immigration assessments. I focus not only on the needs of your immigration case but on your needs as a whole person. After the assessment is completed recommendations and referrals for ongoing therapy and other services will always be provided when appropriate.
